Every match moves through a guided thread: timed steps where you answer in writing and, when the flow calls for it, record voice inside that conversation (not as a generic profile clip). The shape of the thread adapts to context - your dating intent and this connection - so it is not one rigid script for everyone. You see each other's answers before moving on. Then a decision recap, then the contract, before photos or endless chat.

Spark
Open with intention: pick a tone and write a real message. Up to five sparks per week. They accept in their inbox, or it quietly expires. No deck to swipe.
Step 3
Thread
A private guided thread with deadlines: writing plus an in-thread voice step when the moment calls for it. Steps are shaped for your intent and this pairing, not copy-pasted for every match. After each step you both see what the other shared before continuing.
Step 4
Recap, contract & reveal
Before you decide, the app walks you through a recap of your thread so the contract is not a cold yes or no. If you're both a yes, you each pick how soon you'd like to meet (today, this week, or slow); then photos unlock and chat opens. If it's not mutual, the thread closes kindly: clarity, not ambiguity.

Threads aren't open-ended DMs. Timed steps and paired reveals mean you build familiarity in sync (how you show up, how they respond), including voice you record for that thread, before appearance enters the story.

After the recap, the contract asks both of you the same question: are we continuing? Same pace or different paths. Either way you get clarity before investing more in photos or dates.

Incentives
Many feed-based apps earn when you stay scrolling and chatting in the abstract. We bias the product toward moments where two people can tell if they mean the same thing before appearance and open-ended messaging carry all the weight.
Structure
Swipe decks mix intents and reward split-second sorting (which fuels the halo effect). We place you in a small cohort by intent, cap sparks, and run a thread so judgment can update as you actually hear each other - not only from a card.
Clarity
Open chat often starts before either side knows what they want. We put recap and contract in the path so reciprocity and pace are explicit outcomes, not things you guess from silence or mixed signals.

How it actually works

You request an invite & build your profile
Written prompts, intent, photos, and the basics we need to place you in a cohort. That is your profile on the page. Voice belongs in the thread: when a spark turns into a real back-and-forth, you record and listen there, in that one-to-one flow. We're early; invites are reviewed so cohorts stay small and considered.

You land in a weekly cohort
You're placed with others who share your intent lane. That's your pool for sparks that week: calm, bounded, and intentional.

You send sparks; someone accepts
Up to five sparks per week. When they accept from their inbox, a thread opens between just the two of you, your lane into deeper conversation.

You complete the guided thread together
Each step has a deadline. You answer separately; then both see each other's answers before continuing. Steps are shaped for intent and this pairing, not generic small talk. Expect writing and, when the thread calls for it, voice recorded for that match, not pulled from a generic profile reel.

You review a recap, then sign the contract
The app surfaces a decision recap of what you both shared. Only then do you each answer yes or no, and if you're both yes, you choose a pace (today, this week, or slow). That's when photos and chat unlock.

Two yeses open the reveal flow and messaging you've earned. From there you can plan a real meeting when you're both ready, without the endless back-and-forth that usually comes first elsewhere.

What happens inside a thread?
Timed steps that blend writing and voice. Voice is recorded in the thread when that step calls for it. The sequence adapts to your intent and this pairing rather than repeating one identical script for everyone. After each step you see each other's answers before continuing. Photos stay off until after the recap and contract.
What if we're not a match?
After the recap, each person answers the contract independently. If either of you isn't a yes, the thread closes with care. You're not stuck in ambiguous silence. The community also cares about follow-through after reveal; ghosting and poor conduct can affect access, because kindness scales when behavior has consequences.
Why invite-only?
We're keeping cohorts small while we learn with founding members. Invites help us protect quality and safety from day one.
How much does it cost?
Early members get free access during beta. We'll introduce membership once the experience is settled, and founding members will keep their pricing.
Is it safe?
Profiles are reviewed, photos stay blurred until mutual consent at reveal, and reporting & blocking are built in. We combine automated signals with human review where it matters.
